Can't get makeup right? I just want to touch up my face a little..I don't have extreme acne or anything..

but every now and then I get a cluster of pimples at the jaw line, and a few pop up here and there around my face. And my tone seems uneven. So, I tried the natural approach, like eating more spinach, and salmon and fresh juices and lemons and limes....it mde no difference that i could see. I dont wear makeup usually, but to make my skin look more even and to conceal the marks left by the cluster of pimples I get in the same spot every few months or so, I picked up some loose powder..(physicians Formula Mineral wear) i dont want that caked on look. And I got some of that yellow concealer for under eyes, and the green concealer for the marks. I followed the directions, and to me I just looked weird. Like a ghost. I used the translucent medium powder, which from checking around seemed right for my complexion which is slightly tanned naturally. Any Suggestions! Can't get makeup right? Virtual Makeover. It's free, super easy and fun. You can play with colors and find a look you will love. Then it shows you how to apply your new look. Just click http://marykay.com/mgunther2Can't get makeup right? I just want to touch up my face a little..I don't have extreme acne or anything..
you are who you are...you shouldnt worry bout it
When I have those random breakouts, I use Neutogena medicated concealer. It goes on light and it's medicated. I also use this great product by Mary Kay. They have this acne spot treatment that works great. First though I apply some hydrogen peroxide with q-tip to the area. this causes the pimple to kind of turn white and bubble up, but if you do it before bed and before a shower it really helps dry it up. then apply the acne spot treament. And if you are concerned about looking washed out try a bronzer, use a large blush brush and apply to the cheek, nose, chin, and forhead. Everyone tells me I have great skin, and people always think that I don't wear make-up. However, if you are going for the more natural cure try this mask. Put about 1/2 cup dry plain oatmeal in a blender. You don't want a powder just a fine chop, then squeeze half a lemon of juice, add some honey enought to make the mask a good consistency. It should be thick. Before you apply take a washcloth with hot water and lay it on your face to really open up the poors. Then spread the mask over the area or the whole face. Take that same wash cloth and put it over the mask on you face for about a minute, then remove it. Leave the mask on for about another 5 minutes, it will start to kind of harden and cool down. Then simply rinse it off, sometimes you have to kind of gently scrape it off your face, like with a spoon. But if leaves your skin feeling really soft and the lemon and oatmeal help pull all the junk out of your pours!!!
this one girl i was hooking up with had a picture of a girl's face with all the spots that needed makeup etc (it was pretty nuts, and i think it worked for her), you could prob find it if you search hard enough!!!
If your prone to getting pimples in the same spot the real solution is NOT to wear make up in that area. I understand you don't want the marks to show but make up will make it worse because of the oils in it (even mineral powders and hypo-allergenic formulas).

There's no instant way to fix this problem. I suggest you keep the spot clean at all times. Face washing is a must! But sometimes the soaps and astringints leave your face dry which causes you to wanna wear lotion....and this will only make it worse since lotion is prone to bringing out oil in skin. Instead of using lotion on your face after washing it use Ponds exfoliating skin wipes (or CVS brand). It's a great make up remover too but what's the best about it is it has vitamin E and aloe vera. The exfoliation will help with removing the uneven skin tones and the vitamin e will recharge your skin while the aloe vera will keep it soft so no need for lotion.

Trust me...it works! I've done it myself.
if i were you i would try going to sephora and asking them. they don't get commission so they're helpful but not pushy. they could probably help you out. they have bare escentuals there too which is a really awesome makeup that isn't supposed to clog your pores so it shouldn't make you break out. if you keep breaking out in the same spot do you think it could be cause you're always touching it? maybe your phone rests there or something?
you should try black radiance concealer it comes in all skin types and you can use it on the spots that you want to conceal and it works really great.
Try some bronzing powder or you can try a even out your complextion product such as Mary Kay's new Timewise skin essence.

Just a thought.
I used to have horrible acne! I tried everything and nothing seemed to worked. Until I discovered Witch Hazel! You can get a 16 oz. bottle in the pharmacy of wal-mart for like a buck-seventy! Since i've been using it i barely ever get a blemish! And to take care of those stupid little dark spots left behind, i started using Neutrogena Acne Mark Fading Peel, it is awesome!!!
Well what i do is i wash my face with clean and clear cream cleasner in the morning and at night. In the morning use a mosturizer with spf 15. At night was your face again and put neutrogena rapid clear acne eliminating spot gel then put on a thin layer of vaseline. No it wont break u out it keeps in moisture. It taks a while for the bumps and scars to go away since your skin cells die every 28 days. drink lots of water too!

Anyone know some futuristic makeup that's not too extreme for a pale face?

im looking for some dark makeup ideas that would look sort of futuristic of goth but i've done some before and when i look back at my pictures i look like an idiot, im not one for being in style or whatever but i really looked stupid like i was trying to attract someones attention in some weird way, i dunno i was 16 then and a doofus, but i have no idea what make up would look good with my style, gothAnyone know some futuristic makeup that's not too extreme for a pale face?
You should go for a bold mate kinda look. Sometimes this is hard to pull off but maybe you can. Just go for a dramatic look. Bold Eyeliners that make your eyes pop, dark shadows that complement your eyes also, dramatic blush to give it that bold daring look and red lip colors. I don't know what your skin tone is so its kind of hard to tell. But try something along those lines.Anyone know some futuristic makeup that's not too extreme for a pale face?
Try an extreme double winged cat eye.

Take a flat liner brush, and dip it in some water. Apply some black eyeshadow on it and create a cat eye. Pull it out a little longer then usual. Then, go over the cat eye, and draw another cat eye that is connected to the first. Then, go over both cat eyes with liquid or pencil liner.

A great idea is to try to different colors for a fun futuristic look. Stick with black for a more goth appeal. Or, for a mix of both, I suggest buying MAC silver pigment or some glitter from Make Up For Ever and coating each black cat eye with some.
futuristic? add silver shimmer maybe?

Dior Skin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup or Estee Lauder Nutritious Vita-Mineral Liquid Makeup?

im 16 years old, with a moderate to low level of acne. i've had acne for about 5 years now and i haven't really used any type of foundation to cover it up. i've got a wedding coming up (at the end of June) where i want to go with flawless skin: no acne scars, oily skin or spots showing through. ive researched both these foundation on the net and got some info about them from a friend too, but i want know which of the two i should go for.

if you can recommend any other foundations, that would be soo help full!!

Thank YouDior Skin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup or Estee Lauder Nutritious Vita-Mineral Liquid Makeup?
not trying to be mean...but you have a few months to work on the problem...you can't ';cover' it up...so i would invest in some proactive-it really does work...anywayzzzzz..both those foundations are good...the EL will provide better coverage...but both are really light foundations-you can go to a dept. store and actually try them both and see which one is better for you......or maybe they can suggest something else for you.....(personally i do not like the MAC the poster above suggested)Dior Skin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup or Estee Lauder Nutritious Vita-Mineral Liquid Makeup?
Both of them give you a luminous very dewy gorgeous look but dont cover much. Foundations that give you this look attract attention with the lighting to scars and such. Go for a more matt look like, the MAC Studio Fix Fluid. Great at covering! OR if you want a dewy look make sure to use a MATT concealer beffore you use the DIOR founation.

UK answers only - I just bought the GOSH's extreme art liner and i dont have a clue what to use to remove it. its sooooo hard to remove. i dont like to use olive oil all the time to remove it. what effective but not too expensive remover should i get? Makeup remover for gosh extreme liner (UK answers ONLY!!!)?
white spirit if u dont care what your skin looks like afterMakeup remover for gosh extreme liner (UK answers ONLY!!!)?
i find that simple is one of the cheapest and best removers and they have a huge collection for oily, dry and sensitive skin...sooo many things to choose from so i would suggest that....

or a lil more expensive you can use Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover from the Body Shop its 拢7.50 tis good

or here is a list of many make up removers which have reviews and compares prices so you can decide for yourself hehe!

hope i helped

:D
*Vaseline?

*Baby Oil?

*Moisturiser?

*Most oil based products like creams/potions.

*Most baby wipes work.

*Bodycare sells eyemakeup remover pads in little tubs for 79p for like 15.

I personally find that vaseline and baby oil work best for me. But Lush Cosmetics Company does a multi use cleanser called Ultrabland that is fab.
Super drug do 'make up remover and skin cleansing wipes' they're on offer at the mo 99p a pack. They remove even waterproof mascara and come in sensitive too for delicate eyes. They're in the skin care aisle and are in blue for sensitive or yellow for chamomile packets. I swear by them, much better than olay or johnson's.
I use Garnier Skin Naturals Clean %26amp; Soft Complete Cleansing Milk Dry %26amp; Sensitive and it costs about 拢2.50 from boots, superdrug etc, best one ive used, it's for eye makeup as well and removes it so well without irrititating the skin or pulling hairs out
Baby oil is the most cost effective water-proof makeup remover according to my wife.
I use a waterproof makeup remover cream from the Body Shop with Cotton balls to remove my makeup.

it works really well and moisture's as well.

its about 拢4 for a tube, but lasts for ages.

I use Johnsons 3 in 1 Facial Cleansing Wipes. Removes all sorts of make-up even waterproof mascara. Before I got Johnsons, I just used good old Tesco Value Baby Wipes, they don't sting either =)
i wear quite a lot of eye makeup and i always use simple eye make up remover! its cheap, it doenst sting and it gets ever last trace off!
Baby oil!

Johnson %26amp; Johnson PH 5.5 Gentle Eye Makeup Removal Pads is great ^__^
jhonsons baby oil is always good
Lush Ultrabland. It'll take anything off.

  • Extreme Humidity tips for Hair/Makeup?

I live in Georgia where the humidity is out of control. My school is pretty much out side. we have breezeways as hallways %26amp; you pretty much have to go outside to get to any class. At school my hair always gets soooo frizzy! And my faces gets so greasy and oily ( i usually do not have an oily skin type) which causes my makeup to run. how can i control this?Extreme Humidity tips for Hair/Makeup?
A lot of hairspray or mousse..haha. And I would go as sheer as possible on the foundation or better yet..no foundation and just use powder. Otherwise your makeup is just gonna melt off!

Good makeup for extreme humidity. please help!?

I will be spending a month in the Yucatan, Mexico in July. Temp stays between 85-105 and humidity also up to the 80% range. I'm looking for a sheer foundation (CoverGirl used to make one that I loved but not anymore...urrrr) that won't look heavy but will stay on. Also, any suggestions of mascara, eyeliner or anything else that has lasted for you in similar weather. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks!Good makeup for extreme humidity. please help!?
For eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara .. try this:

    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>

She-Laq will keep your makeup on allllll day! Use with waterproof eyeliner and waterproof mascara. I use Dior Waterproof eyeliner and DiorShow waterproof mascara. Though any eyeliner underneath She-Laq will work fine.

I also agree that you should try out some mineral makeup. Bare Minerals is great, I love it .. there is also Youngblood, Arbonne and Everyday Minerals.

Here are some loose powders: http://www.sephora.com/browse/section.jh鈥?/a>

A makeup primer will help keep your makeup on ALL day:

    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>

Smash Box Primer is one of the best! I'm actually going out to buy it this weekened.

Before you buy anything and want to read reviews on a product go to http://www.makeupalley.com

Have fun!Good makeup for extreme humidity. please help!?
i live in indonesia where humid is crazy... switch foundation with tinted moisturizer with SPF... use long lasting concealer for blemishes (laura mercier secret camouflage lasts long)...

switch powder products with cream or gel based.. for example, use gel/cream blush instead of powder blush (gel is better for oilier skins and cream is better for drier skin).. use cream shadow instead of powder ones or use your cream blush as eyeshadow for monochromatic look..

switch into waterproof mascara.. i swear by ANY of l'ancome's waterproof mascara.. they really really do last..

also switch into waterproof, sweatproof, smudgeproof eyeliner.. MAC's powerpoint eyeliner is a good splurge.. for something cheaper, Styli-Style 24/7 is good.. or urban decay eye liners are also good esp for their range of colors!

for lips, tinted lip balm with SPF gives color and protection from the sun!
The other girls have it covered according to foundation, so I will just suggest you leave the eyeliner off as it will run and look horrible. Wear a nice waterproof mascara, something from CoverGirl. And have fun!
everything from bare minerals is really good
foundation melts off my skin in the summer.

this summer so far, i've been using:

physicians formula loose mineral makeup. it's about 12 dollars and it comes with a neat little professional-looking brush.

    bronzer on my cheeks. (maybelline)

one coat of mascara. two if it isn't as hot outside.(i use wet 'n wild 'cuz it's only about 3-4 dollars)

chapstick/and or lipgloss.(personal fave is bonne bell lipgloss, it's yummy)
Bare Minerals. Their foundation and mineral veil work wonders, you can use their liner shadows with an eyeliner brush and their weather everything sealant to create great waterproof liner. Mascara, I would reccomend covergirl lash exact or l'oreal telescopic.
    Loose the heavy foundation..

Mineral makeup is the it thing now. It gives you a nice and natural coverage but less of that makeupy feeling. Try Bare Minerals from Bare Escentuals. You can sample at Sephora's.

You could also use a good oil control lotion or primer, concealer, and a good loose powder..

Most brandname eyeshadows are good but they wear off in time. If you want longwear, invest in primers for the eyes and the lashes. Primers are creams or conditioners that you apply before the main makeup. The makeup holds onto the prime to give you longer wear.

    Hope this helps....

Mac Cosmetics is a great brand, you can find at Nordstroms.
I live in a humidity area, and right now the temp is around 100+, I usually use MAC cosmetics you can buy it online or at Nordstrom!
Try mineral makeup, like Bare Escentuals. It stays on in the heat, I know that. Neutrogena makes mineral makeup, too, and it works really well. Both brands have eye shadows and blush. Lots of companies are making it now, but those are the ones I've tried. Bare Escentuals also has a mascara and some really good lip colors...you can get it on the QVC website. Mineral makeup is easy to use, looks great, and stays where you put it...all day...without streaking or rubbing off. Good luck.

Extreme punk makeup for a fancy dress?

Im going as a punk to a fancy dress party. I know what im wearing but i need some ideas for my makeup. please dont tell me to just wear black eyeliner i want an extreme look! If you could give me a link to a photo of the look it would be really helpful

thanx Extreme punk makeup for a fancy dress?
    Hey!

No...forget black liner! Experiment with color...it's much more fun.

If I were you, I'd go out and buy false lashes to make the look even more dramatic.

As far as colour, you can experiment by rimming your eyes with colors like

    red:

    http://www.shrinkle.com/kryolan/orange1.鈥?/a>

    neon blue and green:

    http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/53/鈥?/a>

    a bunch of colors..

    http://z.hubpages.com/u/261949_f260.jpg

    http://www.mineral-makeup-help.com/image鈥?/a>

You can also experiment with textures, like glitter and shimmer and metallics. That can look really awesome and really, really extreme! Once more, top it with the false lashes.

    http://kettcosmetics.com/gallery_body_ar鈥?/a>

You could go for animal print if you're daring...

    http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d178/l鈥?/a>

    http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1344/1064鈥?/a>

You can top the look with actual face paint, which is really extreme...paired with super dramatic eye makeup this can make your look awesome for your party.

    For example :

My parents are embarrassed about what I wear (extreme makeup)? How do I convince them that this is who I am?

I just don't feel comfortable any other way. And I like to experiment with my makeup. My mother reluctantly accepts my standard extreme form of makeup, but when I experiment with other extreme styles, she says she refuses to go anywhere with me because she is embarrassed. But I say that I'm embarrassed of her for being so intolerant of differences. Anyhow, nothing gets through to her. It's like talking to a f*cking brick wall. And I am disabled. I am on SSI Disability and can't be on my own, AWAY from her.My parents are embarrassed about what I wear (extreme makeup)? How do I convince them that this is who I am?
i had a similar problem with my mother concerning my clothing. this is what worked for me: since she was having a hard time accepting my clothing, i started wearing something that i liked on one day, and something more that she would like the next day (without completely compromising my style), and switching back and forth like that. it made it easier for her to accept the days i was more myself because i wasn't completely ';lost'; to her. then slowly start wearing your makeup more extreme more often. if you know you're going somewhere with her, tone it down a bit.... u can still be yourself but it's knowing what times are appropriate that makes the situation tolerable. My parents are embarrassed about what I wear (extreme makeup)? How do I convince them that this is who I am?
How extreme is your make up? Because ';extremes'; are different for everyone, and so for you it may not seem extreme but for her it is. Just talk to her about it when she's in a good mood. Tell her that you need to find a way to express yourself and this is the way you choose to do it. You like it and whether she likes it or not, it's your face and it's your actions. She should let you have your independence and your freedom to choose what you want to do. I guess tone down a bit of your make up from time to time so you don't have the same ';extreme'; make up on every single day. Vary it up a bit - besides, make up is all about fun and experimentation! If you only stick to one style that'd be boring. Hope this helps :)

  • Extreme makeup problems!!!???

ok, my skin is very pale. very very pale... NO makeup is my color. during the summer i get a tan on my arms and legs. nit my neck or chest. so i cant tan to help make the skin tone match my makeup. it always looks really white in the container but is yellow or bronze on my face. whats up?! its super annoying!! ive tried almost all the brands. it makes me very sad :( in some lighting its ok, but others i feel like running away. I'm looking for a REALLY SUPER light powder with no yellow or brown tones. why does it change color on my face? please help me :'(Extreme makeup problems!!!???
Go to sephora.com and see if there is a store near you. If there is, pop in and talk to one of the makeup artists and tell them your dilemma. With the wide range of makeup Sephora sells, I'm sure they'll be able to help you find a good shade. Best of all, its completely free :)Extreme makeup problems!!!???
You're like me then. You'll have to go to a cosmetic counter. Try MAC, clinique, places like that in department stores in your area or find a Sephora around you. You're going to need a professional makeup artist to help match your skin tone to the right powder/ foundation for you. Some makeup counters will even mix the foundation for you on site so that you can get the best match possible. You may also want to try a translucent powder. My favorite is Rimmel Stay Matte.

    Hope this helps! =)
Go to perscriptives at most Macys, its a foundation counter and they can create makeup your exact skin tone, it is a bit pricey, but its worth it, thats where I go

They have pre made as well, but they also have it where they can make it for you with your exact skin under tones and everything.

    try it out.
It is probably the reaction between your face and the foundation. Some people experience oxidizing of foundation on their faces, making it appear darker.

next time you buy foundation, try it on before you decide on one. Give ample time to observe if it changes colour.

If your skin aint that bad, maybe you can stick to a moisturizer.
i have the same broblem. you might want to try something from maybeline. then, on top of your foundation bronzer to match up your face color with your arms and legs, then some blush. it just adds color and with distract the eye :)
    Have you tried Neutrogena?

Their lightest color is called fair, and if you buy the pressed powder it will only put a very thin layer on your skin.

Is there any kind of base or other strategy or *something* that'll make normal colors really POP? Any tips for bright, colorful extreme eye makeup? Is there any way to make my eye makeup colors seem much brighter than they are for more extreme looks?
I used to be a make up artist. When someone really wanted the colors to pop I used a cream shadow base and then piled the colors on top of that once it had dried. If you want to stay reasonable L'Oreal HIP colors are great when used with a cream base. They stand out a lot. If you have a little bit of money to spend go to mac. Some of their colors are so bright its scary.

Estee Lauder makes an Eye primer deal that works pretty well too! But, its expensive. Is there any way to make my eye makeup colors seem much brighter than they are for more extreme looks?
Unless you want technicolor in your makeup just stay with contrasting colors for bringing your eye tone out. Outline the lashes and use a contrast color from the blue of your eyes.

Extreme makeup and tips in general?

So I wear glasses and all but I love dressing up crazy and taking pics with my friends. I'm quite pale, I have reddish-brown hair and bluish green eyes. I am a complete moron when it comes to makeup in general so...

    *Tips for applying eyeshadow/eyeliner?

*What colors should I look for eye makeup?

    *Should I use liquid eyeliner?

*Places where I could get some crazy makeup...cheap but not crappy?

*What lip colors and such would look good with my complexion?

Ten points for best! Thanks!Extreme makeup and tips in general?
Does your skin have a pinker undertone or a yellower undertone? I can't quite tell from your description without an accompanying picture, but you sound like a Spring. That means colours that will look good on you are often paler ones: peach, golden yellow, golden brown, tan, etc. The best brighter colours (since you want crazy) are probably going to be bright green, bright red, clear blues, or coral pink.

As for tips for applying shadow: if you want ';crazy';, it's always fun to blend colours... say, green near your tear ducts, pink in the middle, and blue on the other end. Try bright coloured liners... blue is always fun, but classic black can really make things pop. If you really want a dramatic look, definitely go with liquid. There are liquid sparkle eyeliners as well, if you're into that sort of thing.

As for lips, steer clear from the more purple colours. Really, bright red and coral pink are your best bets. Use lipstick or lip stain. There are some really good bright liquid lip colours that come with a sealing stick for long-lasting, no smudge colour.

My favourite (cheap) place to get makeup is Hechts. Sephora is best for everything, but they are EXPENSIVE. MAC makes good, bright colours... but again, it may be more expensive than you want. Hot Topic actually sells some stuff that is quite nice and fairly good quality. Even try your local dollar store, there are occasionally some good brands there.

Anyway, if you want more specific things, feel free to message me. Hope this helps!Extreme makeup and tips in general?
go to www.marykay.com and use the virtual makeover, it's easier to decide on color when you can actually see it before you buy it.
First of all I have to say, you are really pretty!! You shouldn't wear a lot of makeup, you don't need it! But if you want more than just lipgloss and mascara, then here are my suggestions:

Stick to natural eyeshadows, like brown and beige. For night you could add some gold. Use a black eyeliner to do a thin line above your top eyelashes (this creates a nice outline) and use just a very little bit of black eyeshadow on the bottom lashes. Load up on mascara!!

Only use liquid eyeliner for dramatic night looks.

As you are very pale and already have rosy cheeks, I wouldn't suggest wearing blush. Some bronzer on your cheek bones and jaw line will give you a nice glow and some colour.

And for lips, I would just use clear or pink lipgloss.

Hope this helps! Just keep trying different things and you will learn what looks best and what doesn't work.

Oh, and MAC is the best place for makeup!

Also, if you want a more dramatic look for night or whatever, I think you should play up your eyes, maybe a smoky eye look, rather than your lips. You have such gorgeous eyes they should be accentuated!
You can do 2 types of eyeshadow use a liquid liner (which takes skill but fun to try) or wet a liner brush in black pigment or eyeshadow. To line the very edge of your lid above your eyelashes *takes practice* Or you can get a liner pen. It is crayon or khol. Do the same thing with it. If you want your eyes to look bigger try lining the inside of your bottom lid right above your lashes * be careful not to get it in your eye it burns* .

I use MAC pigments for my eyeshadow. The whole pot is expensive so I buy the teaspoon pods on ebay and it tend to hold me over till I am tired of the color and it is 1/10 of the price. Stay away from pinks, and browns. Any other color will make your eyes look good. And MAC pigments can be used as paint if you dampen your brush first and then put it on. I put my bright colors on that way. Without the water it is just a light color not as vivid.

If you try the liquid liner definately use a night at home when your veggin and keep trying it. Liquid liner burns like HE*L if you get it in your eye. Wet and Wild from walmart h2o proof will NOT come off which is a good thing.

ebay is you best bet of CHEAP name brand makeup. That is where I buy all my makeup and you can get anything your heart desires. Clinique MAC Lancome and such.

NO pinks what so ever on a red head even lip stick, and no red that makes just toooooo much red! Try a pale orange or mauve. I would just use lip gloss. It is natural and a no brainer for a red head.

I hope I helped my email is mbluppy@yahoo.com if you need more tips.

Whats a really pretty, yet casual & not extreme way to wear eye makeup?

I usually wear just eyeliner in mascara but i want to use like eyeshadow along with it but i dont want it to be like really stupid looking. i want it to be simple, yet still noticabley pretty.Whats a really pretty, yet casual %26amp; not extreme way to wear eye makeup?
Just a bit of mascara and liner very close to the lashes is all. Beige or bone shadow, if you must.Whats a really pretty, yet casual %26amp; not extreme way to wear eye makeup?
    Go to the MAC counter
It depends on what color eyes you have. Use just one color and only put it on a little past the crease of your eyes so it doesn't look like too much.

If you have brown eyes, copper, bronze, brown, and champagne are good rather muted colors.

For blue eyes, taupe, gray, violet, and blue a bit darker than your eyes are good.

For green or hazel eyes, brown, apricot, plum, and forrest green are good.
try black kohl eyeliner, smudging it with a qtip, then dusting light light light gold eyeshadow on your lids. Finish up with some mascara, and youll look gorgeous.

another way is to wear a brighter color of eyeliner, like blue, green, or purple, but not a really bright shade, with black mascara. itll make you look beautiful, and itll make a statement- a good one, not an extreme one.

    hope this helps! =)
try neutral colors and thin eyeliner. try an eyeshadow with a shimmer to make it prettier
    This works every time:

Two coats of mascara, winged slightly at edges

A very very thin line of liquid liner on the top lid only, winged out

Neutral eyeshadow (beige, tan, or mauve), its hard to mess that up.
the mac counter is a good idea but make sure they understand you dont want it too noticeable because i went their with my friends and they gave me really extreme makeup but my friends all ende up with more neutral makeup done by another person

try using golds, pinks, and purples but dont put too much eyeshadow on

Ever notice the extreme differences in the mental makeup of guys and gals?

If you walk into the bathroom and a guy is sitting on the toilet, he laughs because he knows what you just smelled, if you walk in on a lady sitting on the toilet, she will yell at you to get out, and maybe throw something at you.Ever notice the extreme differences in the mental makeup of guys and gals?
yuck.. why walk in on anyone using the bathroom?Ever notice the extreme differences in the mental makeup of guys and gals?
You've clearly never met me then. I have IBS, I learned to laugh about poo a long time ago.

And actually, I don't think the differences are as big as everyone seems to think. They're there, but most of the stuff that differs between the sexes is pretty trivial.
The only difference I can see is one is more social while the other is more aggressive, competitive and sexually driven. Otherwise we are both equal
Yes. When you are married, these differences are evidenced daily.

What is the point of using extreme makeup like this?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZvgo5WNq鈥?/a>

Look scary to me. What do you think? What is the point of using extreme makeup like this?
on a proffesional level the makeup is really good:) lol i guess the point is maybe shel get hierd as a makeup artist like what celebrities use and get paid almost 1 million a year:)?!?!? lol i dunno it would be REALLY scary if i saw someone walking down the street like that tho lolWhat is the point of using extreme makeup like this?
Well if I was just going somewhere I wouldn't wear my make up like that but maybe if I was in a play or show or somekind of performance where it looked good then I would. but just for going out, no. :) It would probably take a lot of practice to get that good at putting your makeup on :D
This sort of makeup is used alot in fashion and fantasy looks. You will find this person is highly creative in makeup artistry.... Obviously not a look for every day but makeup is also a form of art work. Its like painting on a canvas but on the face. I think it is fantastic!!
make up is like art. there are many ways to paint, draw, colour, make up is like that....on your face. personally i love the dramatic look of this arabic extream make up. it's all about personality babe!!!
Same reason why I'm obsessed with bright clothings and such. It's for creativity and fun.

And I liked it, it looks very exotic I guess you could say. I just wouldn't wear that in public.
it's just a form of expression. art on face! it's not natural enough for everyday though. and i don't think it looks good on everyone. but it's fun to see what it makes u look like i guess!
Yeah way too much for ordinary everyday wear - but seeing as its a competition / I guess anything pretty much goes - in order to get attention
It's only a way to express yourself artistically. Obviously, a woman wouldn't really believe she could get a man with all that crap on her face!
It's just for the fun of trying out new techniques. Make up is a form of art. Nobody wears their make up like that every day.
some use it for stage performancse in order to stand out to the audience.
Wow that's freaky. I dont think she wears that on the street..I dont know what the point it. Fun?
To give me more nightmares, apparantly.
YEAH IT IS CREATIVE BUT NOT MUCH OF A WEARABLE LOOK YOUWOULD NEED TO TONE IT DOWN FOR THAT.
    grooosss.
It's to express their creativity. It just looks like a mess to me.
    to stand out

thats what i do it for anyways
I guess it's fun looking like a tart?

What do you think of women with 'extreme' makeup?

By extreme, I don't necessarily mean a lot; I mean people that wear bright, funky colors of eyeshadow, etc.

I personally prefer a more natural, subdued look (a 13 year old couldn't pull off red lipstick anyway), but I was looking at some unusual colors of lipstick and was just wondering what the general public think of people who wear this. :]What do you think of women with 'extreme' makeup?
I like to alternate between wacky out there color eyeshadow/lipstick and a very natural look. Really it depends on my mood. Sometimes I feel like living it up. I dont dress crazy but a little color on my eyes is still a way for me to express myself.

I think bright, nicely done make up can really liven someone up but only if it is done properly. Anything too heavy can look wrong if not done carefully. generally I admire people who aren't afraid to experiment a little with their makeup and have fun. I will admit that sometimes I see people with extreme makeup and have a ';what was she/he thinking'; moment, but hey to each his own! What do you think of women with 'extreme' makeup?
I understand why most people use bright colours. They like to stand out, and like experimenting with different colours, shades, and patterns. In many ways, I admire them for being brave enough to try so many different looks.

Unfortunately, when people are walking down the streets and see a women with lots of (or unnusual shades of) eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, foundation, blush, lip stick/gloss, etc., they find that it looks quite trashy, unnatural, and fake. They come to the conclusion that the women are not pretty without all the bright colours to distract others from their real face.

I personally don't like eye makeup, and I wouldn't recommend wearing a lot of bright colours. Most prefer the natural look, and bright colours usually make you look fake. But hey, in the end it's entirely

your choice, and no one is stopping anyone from doing their makeup the way THEY want to. It's their face, isn't it?

    :)
It is very easy to make it look like you have a black eye or you are incredibly tired with bright colors. Especially greens, pinks, and reds.

You can use bright colors and not be gaudy. Purple as eyeliner, gold on the inner top corners of your eyes, blue shadow liner.

It is also very easy to look like a drag queen.
i dont really wear bright funky eyeshadows because i cant pull it off and cause i cant put it on. but i really like it on other people who put it on properly. like theres this girl at school who wants to be a make up artist and her eyemakeup always looks amazing and its so colorful. but i absoluetly adore bright and bold lips. i love red and fuchsia lips.
I think it's awesome for a once in a while thing. I love experimenting with bright eyeliners and especially MAC pigment.

I disagree with your statement about the 13 year olds can't pull of funky makeup. I'm 13, almost 14 though and I wear funky shades of eye makeup.
im with you on the natural. haha but i think people who can go into public with like lime green eyeshawdow and neon pink eyeliner and glitter lashes are nutttsss. and they are some extremely confident people, i could not do that! and i think it looks a little weird.. but its everywhere now! haha and its fun to look at!
It depends on the face really. On some women it looks good and others it looks tarty.

    Extreme makeup?

What are the best brands that have extreme eye makeup.

I mean something like hip, that goes on really dark and it's noticable.

    Here's their website. http://urbandecay.com/

    I love them!Extreme makeup?
urban decay or mac, nars or smashbox
Mac is great but my favorite is Victoria's Secret Eye Shadow, it's almost better than Mac.
MAC is the best in this line-
    Make Up Forever has some really cool colors with glitter and shimmer... check it out.... I wouldnt recommend doing your eyes that way... at least not out in public.. you might end up in the pages of comso magazine under the title ';what not do to';
Wet 'n' Wild looks great on anyone. I also like Covergirl and NYC. NYC has the absolute BEST foundations and powder cover-ups. LOL I just bought a cover up from NYC last week and it's almost gone!!! It covers up zits, and makes your skin look more tanned. I LOVE it!!!!! If you have blue or green eyes, green and brown eyeshadow look great. Blue eyes look great with smoky colors. If you have brown eyes, stick with smoky shadows and black, brown, or turquoise liner. Try some liquid lip gloss from Smackers. It's amazing!!! I also love Wet 'n' Wild's two way lip gloss. One side of it is for color, and the other side is gloss. You can buy it at drugstores for about $3. I also 鈾?Plump it Up lipgloss and mascara sets from Wet 'n' Wild!!!! My favorite color for the mascara is dark black, and the best lip gloss flavor is the cinnimon one. It's wonderful!!! It feels great on your lips, and they feel all tingly. The mascara is great, and it makes your lashes look a lot longer. You can buy each one for only $4 at most drugstores (I get mine from Rite-Aid). If you don't want to use mascara because you are afraid it might run, then you can curl your lashes or use Claire's clear mascara. I 鈾?it!!! It's about $3 at Clarie's. My favorite blushes are from NYC, but I don't use blush much, because most people don't really need it. Insted, I use NYC's powder cover up. It's $2, and I get mine from Target. I HIGHLY recommend it. It's amazing!!! Good luck!!!! I hope this helps!!!

    ((((hugs))))

    =)

    -Gracie!
Ewww wtf?? That girls looks like she got punched in both eyes. Mac has really bright and vibrant colors, they would definately have eye liner like that too, also urban decay is good because they have super bright and vibrant colors.
That's gross. Makes her look like a clown.

or Mimi from the Drew Carey show.

When are girls going to understand that with makeup, better to have ';too little'; than ';too much'; !!!????
    try MAX or Nars

for the eye shadow or SEPHORA

for the eye liner COVER GIRL
Sephora has a lot of nice things, but some of it can be expensive. I also use Urban Decay.
Try MAC cosmetics. Look them up on line. They give you pictures of looks as well.
trust me u dont wanna look like that!
    MAC make up.

Wet'n'wild also has a blue liquid eyeliner and annabelle has a lot of nice dark shadows but they are not as pigmented as the MAC ones' so they do not stay on as long and you need more shadow to make them look as dark as the MAC ones.

I have sold Avon for almost 3 years. Additionally, I have worked at Merle Norman Cosmetics for years, and was offered a job with Lancome (which I had to turn down due to my school schedule for Cardiovascular Technology.)

I have done bridal parties, pageant contestants, models for photo shoots, prom makeup, and everything else. My makeup bag has seen nearly every brand out there. Contact me with any questions! Are there any makeups pros?
i am no pro but I used to sell Avon for 3 years plus I have gone to a lot of workshops for Lancome and Clinique etc....I know my makeup!
Over here the manufacturer's reps train the staff at their cosmetics counter to assist people with their make up.

You never see one of those girls with out perfect makeup.
I have a year of experience.

But my mom sells MaryKay- and she knows a lot! I learn a lot from her. She teaches me how to put on makeup the best way.
Now I saw that you had someone respond who works for a make-up company but many other people who don't have a job in the cosmetics industry have a great input. I'm an everyday girl and I've been wearing make up since age 11. I'm a young aspiring fashion designer who can help you make all of your beauty and style-related decisions. What are the pros and cons of working as a makeup cosmetician?

I am currently a stay-at-home mother with a 7-year old daughter who attends elementary school and a 3 year old boy who will attend preschool in two years. When both of my children go to school, my neighbors tell me that I will have a lot of free time on my hands. And they are probably right, because all I do is take care of my son and cook a little during the time when my husband is at work and my daughter is at school.

So I'm thinking about getting a part-time job as a makeup cosmetician. I used to have a job as one back in college, but it wasn't a huge job, but I do have experience. I have always had a knack for makeup. And it's always nice to have something to do and bring a little extra money in these days.

I'm thinking I could work at our local mall, possibly in Clinique. I would only work during the hours my children at are at school, and maybe sometimes on the weekends when my husband is at home.

I was going to ask some of the pros and cons of this job though. Any reason why or why I should not apply for this position? Thanks to all answers, I appreciate all help. What are the pros and cons of working as a makeup cosmetician?
well i worked for lancome, it was fun, but there's alot of fake smiling and customers who do not really care. The mall i worked at was not at all flexible with me taking hours off, and i had to adjust to there shifts. Overall, i quit in a month because it was making me hate makeup (which i adore!)

the pros of it, are free makeup! Also you get to play dress up everyday, and helping out a customer who really appreciates it is always good.

Everyone is different so you should deff give it a try! What are the pros and cons of working as a makeup cosmetician?
You have 2 school going children. Why not apply for the position of a preschool teacher (for kids 3-5 years) ? You might discover that you are a better teacher than a cosmetician.

Working with kids is an enlightening and rewarding experience.

Your kids will have a fun mother and the school will have a fun teacher ... :-)
You have to stand all day

  • I'm not sure how to apply makeup? Haha...so for all you pros..help?? :)?

Well, in the mornings i take a mere 5 minutes on miine. I personally think that i wear just the right amount, but a few of my friends and even my mother (haha) tell me that i don't look like i wear any. When i try to apply it more heavily to make it look like i'm actually wearing it, to me, it either 1)looks tacky 2)i screw up =) haha or 3) all of the above!

SO! I need some tips here. I can do the basics, cover-up, mascara, eyeliner on lower (for some reason, i have NO idea how to do the top lid...lol),

Yeah...help, por favor?I'm not sure how to apply makeup? Haha...so for all you pros..help?? :)?
You can't go wrong with a natural look. Personally, I think natural looks better. That way you Enhance what you already have instead of trying to change it completely. I use a damp makeup sponge (dampen by dabbing on a wet rag) to apply my base. I use natural tones that best suit my skin. Play up your best feature. On eyeliner this is what I do:

Bottom--line from outer edge to a little past the middle (going towards nose)--I use a brown liner and line just underneath the lashes

Top--I blot my eyeliner tip on a rag to remove the bulk of the fluid. Then, with a very fine line, I start at the inner (nose) corner and follow the natural curve of my eye all the way to the outer corner. If I want to glam things up then I just make a thicker line on the outer corner and swoop up slightly.

Use lip liner that is no more than a shade darker of your lipstick. Lip liner helps to shape your lips and it keeps your lipstick from feathering.

ALWAYS use a good moisturizer daily.I'm not sure how to apply makeup? Haha...so for all you pros..help?? :)?
    steps: to easy natural face

    face:

    1. clean your face (wash 2x a day)

    2. tinted moisturizer

    3. apply a little concealer to problem spots (under eye)

    4. set with translucent powder (absorbs oil thru the day)

    5. contour/ maybe some blush/brozer

    eyes:

    6. highlight brow bone

    7. shadow

    8. eyeliner

    9. mascara

    lips:

    10. gloss
when your makeup isnt noticable, that means that you did a great job. Makeup is supposed to be unnoticable, yet accent your facial features at the same time. If you do want it to be more noticable, try a less natural shade of makeup. Hope this helps!
go on youtube and watch some tutorials, those are usually good. but basically all you really need is liquid eyeliner on the top and pencil on the bottom, all the way across. when you do the top lid you dont have to close your eye
Step. 1) put powder on that matches ur color if u want

Step. 2) put eyeliner on in side of lower lid cover girl eyeliner is great (:

step. 3) use eyelash curler then buy ORANGE lash blast in black (:

    goood luck!
    tinted moisturizer.......
hey, cool i have hazel eyes and Brown hair!

Re:Bridal Hair & Makeup - can I do this myself. What prices the pros are asking are RIDICULOUS - Help!?

What matters most is that you are happy with the results....you do not have to go to a professional.

An option on makeup is going to one of the make-up counters at your local mall...check with them some of them will do makeover on the day of your wedding. Have it done by them a few weeks prior just to make sure it's what you like. As far as your makeup goes be warned you don't want it to be caked on. The best is having it look natural.

Your bridesmaids, maid of honor or matron of honor will all be able to help you out also.Re:Bridal Hair %26amp; Makeup - can I do this myself. What prices the pros are asking are RIDICULOUS - Help!?
How much is ridiculous?? We charge $85 for hair and $75 for makeup... are OUR prices ridiculously low???Re:Bridal Hair %26amp; Makeup - can I do this myself. What prices the pros are asking are RIDICULOUS - Help!?
Your wedding day might be stressful for you. I chose to have my hair and makeup done, and that helped me out a lot. I didn't have to worry about anything, and I had time to relax and be pampered a little. It was worth spending the money to me. There are lots of places to go that aren't as expensive as a full-scale salon. . .make some phone calls, or ask some of your friends who may have used this service as well. Do you have a hairdresser/cosmetology school in your area? That is a good option as well. Make sure you do a dry run with your hair and your hair accessories before your wedding day. . .that way you will know your time frame, and you'll know that it will work out ok!
I found a place that was willing to do my hair, make-up and nails for $50+tax. It was great.
Yes, you can do this yourself. You can have a friend help you with this. Just read up on some articles on how to do make-up yourself so it can look like a pro.
How about you compromise and get your hair done and have your bridal party come along, while doing your own makeup or have one of your bridesmaids do it?

What a professional make up artist will do is match your foundation, pick colors for you, and define your positive features and de-emphasize your lesser features. They will also define your lips with lip pencil and eyes with eye pencil. Many retail make up places will give you a makeup consultation for free or the price of one of their product. Let them know that this will be for a wedding where you will be in pictures.

Take a bridesmaid or friend with you to watch how they apply the makeup. You may want to go to more than one place to find the best results for you. Then do a trial run with the colors that work best for you.

Remember to cleans and moisturize before applying makeup, and do not do any harsh skin treatments too close to the event.

As for your hair, not everyone does bridal hair so unless you are wanting a more simple loose style, you are going to have someone put up your hair. Comparison shop and try to get the best deal, you may have to go with someone off the main street who may be less expensive. I would also ask other brides who they went with.

You are going to be in pictures and if you are going to splurg on yourself, your wedding day is the time. No one is going to begrudge you spending money to look your best. Don't forget to do your nails as well.

    Have a wonderful wedding day.
i would enlist a friend or bridesmaid to do this. you're going to have enough to worry about. if they have long hair, it's simple. just put it in a kindof high ponytail. then, curl the ends in a spiral shape and hairspray them to death. next, using bobby pins, pin them around the ponytail so that by the time you've pinned them all, u can't see the pony anymore and all you see are curls. just have a practice night a week or two beforehand to make sure you or your friend can do it. i did this for my own wedding, but i didn't have bridesmaids. my mother inlaw did it. and your bridesmaids should be able to do their own makeup. i've been in at least 5 weddings and i've never had it done for me.

Pros and Cons of BARE MINERALS makeup (foundation, warmth, mineral veil) EASY 10 POINTS!?

    i have a few questions....

-where can i buy bare minerals makeup (foundation, etc.)

-does it look natural, like your not wearing makeup, because i go to a private school where you cant wear makeup, so i need all my makeup to look like im not wearing anything....

-can you go a shade darker than your normal skintone (because my face is lighter than my tanned legs, arms, and even neck some...)

    10 points for best answer!

-and any pros/cons of BARE MINERALSPros and Cons of BARE MINERALS makeup (foundation, warmth, mineral veil) EASY 10 POINTS!?
Bare Minerals has 1 HUGE CON and in my professional opinion the single worst product you can put on your face.

Bare Minerals contains bismuth oxychloride a natural form of arsenic lead that settles deep in your pores creating breakouts of tiny white bumps. It also makes your skin itch terribly and a reddish burning feeling. You can read alot about it on infomercialscams.com

Its not what it is portrayed to be its very sad how false their advertisements are.

I have been a professional makeup artist for over 20 years and the damaged skins I have seen and had to fix because of bare minerals is far too many.Pros and Cons of BARE MINERALS makeup (foundation, warmth, mineral veil) EASY 10 POINTS!?
I want to start off my saying I LOVE BARE MINERALS!!!

-You can get bare minerals at an Ulta, Bare Mineral store, Online, ans infomercial.

-It definitely looks natural, if you get a starter kit it will come with a DVD on how to use it and also a booklet.

-They have plenty of shades where you can most def go a shade darker and it won't look bad, I'm still using my summer shade and it doesn't look bad at all.

-I'd say you should get it! It's good for your skin so it won't cause pimples. I can't really think of any cons... Sometimes when my face is really dry (winter) somewhat flaky the make-up doesn't really look good, you have to use lots of lotion

    I hope I helped.
You can buy Bare Minerals at: bareminerals.com, sephora.com (free shipping and free returns! and you get 3 free samples with every order) or ulta.com.

Yeah, it looks really natural, it's really great!

Yes, you can go with a shade darker. But maybe try a face tanning lotion or bronzer instead! :)

Pros - it's natural looking, it's healthy for your skin, it looks and feels amazing, it's chemical and fragrance free! It's just a great product over all, I'd never ever switch back to any other makeup! :) It's my favorite, couldn't live without it.

    Cons - can't think of one! :)

    Good luck!
If you are looking for coverage, it's not the thing to get.

But it does look very natural, and you can pick whatever color you want to get. Some stores might carry it, but look online at like bareminerals.com or something.

Around the eyes... The forehead I manage with a hat or the hair of my wigs...

Girls or TVs or Makeup artists... could you share some simple tricks ?Makeup artists ? (amateurs or pros) Need some Transformation tips...?
DONT DONT DONT put nail varnish remover, purfume, aftershave or any other products like these on your skin they are really damaging in the long run they are full of chemicals and are not suitible for the delicate skin on your face.

They do work and do get rid of spots because they kill the cells in your skin therefore no spots can come. The chemicals in them BURN your skin please dont do this!!

I have found that natural products do work i use botanics products, they are all natural! i suffered from acne and now just suffer from small pimples i know it isnt perfect but im still looking for a solution to rid me of any type of spots forever!

Thanks for the advice you have all given me and i hope this helps!Makeup artists ? (amateurs or pros) Need some Transformation tips...?

I'm exactly sure what kind of tips you want, because there are so many facets of makeup and therefore so many possible tips to be given!

I find this site to be really useful with its tips and step-by-step tutorials: http://temptalia.com

With hazel eyes and brown hair, you can get away with just about any eyeshadow, so work it! A great way to start off is by doing natural looks using neutral eyeshadow colors like beiges, creams, and browns. You can also accentuate your eyes by using a lengthening/volumizing mascara and a thin line of black liner on your upper lash line and/or lower lash line (caution, sometimes doing both can result in making eyes smaller instead of opening them up).

You really don't need to wear much makeup since you have such a great natural beauty that comes with being young. Use it and love it, and wait until you need more to get crazy with it ;)
Neutral shades look good on almost anyone %26amp; look very nice with hazel eyes. If you use Mac makeup, they should be be able to do your make up for you %26amp; then you can purchase the colors you like.
makeupshop.com. or call a beauty school for tips. They might give you a free makeup lesson.
purple eyeliner will light gold sparks in your eyes. use it with good mascara to make you lashes look longer. metalic shades of green will look good on your eyes too. you should wear re (or reddish brown) lipstick and clear gloss. use violet shadow for your eyes. avoid anything brown, pink or yellow. but experiment with blue, green and violet. it will look very nice with your eyes.
black eyeliner looke good on ANYONE I think so anyways and get it kind of thick thats the style right now or blue eye shadow or just some mascara mascara goes on nayone there's evan colored mascara but its super hard to find

    MAKEUP nad HAIR pros wanted!?

    thats my photobucket.

i need help with eye makeup.

and hair comments are welcomed too (:MAKEUP nad HAIR pros wanted!?
I'm currently going to cosmetology school,

and I love helping with these kinds of questions!

First off, you are very pretty.

Second, I don't think you need any dramatic make up.

    just something simple:

Just get some eye liner and just apply it to

the top of your eye lid, not the bottom one.

    kinda like this:

    http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc103/your_mother592/eyeee.jpg

and use some mascara, and that's it!

but i'd use a brown eye liner, not black.

Since you have pretty brown hair and eyes.

    and as for hair,

I'd just straighten it a bit more,

    and maybe get some bangs.

Hope I helped :)MAKEUP nad HAIR pros wanted!?
Well first I think your hair looks fine. And if you want to do eye make up I personally would just buy a black eyeliner and a mascara in black and just try that out see how you like it. If you want more you can use eye shadows. It looks like you have darker eyes like brown. Purples look really good on brown eyes and so do pinks and I personally like darker greens. It looks like your pretty young tho so I wouldn't wear too much makeup just because you dont really need it yet.
