Do any of you makeup artist use your MAC PRO CARD?

I sent my application in the mail. just thinking about what I should get from them to put in my makeup kit? I am a talented makeup artist, but I have not apprenticed one, so i don't know what should be in a professional kit using Mac makeup (since I will be getting a discount) !?!?! Can any please help me?Do any of you makeup artist use your MAC PRO CARD?
okay here are a few and if u need more info contact me, i am a manager in mac and here are my yeams favs for our kits, tried and tested

1.face and body foundation/ great for natural long lasting bases

2. pro longlash mascara

3. croma cakes great for making your own base eye colour whatever just mix them

4 smoulder eye kohl, teddy eye kohl, fluidline in blacktrack and dipdown

it all depends rreally on whether u do more editorial work or bridal.

the list is endless so here is a few u should not buy as they are not great and all the artists agree on these

1 mac skincare... too harsh and not suitable for sensitive no matter what they claim

2 shadesticks...just use paintpots

3 slimshine lipstick..it last about 3 seconds

4 mac primer its just a placebo that people want to believe it works but its basicaaly gonna give u the same result if u use a moisturiser...if u want ur foundation to last longer set it with a mineralise powder it doesnt look like a powder on the skin.its virtually invisable but will make foundation stay on hours longer,Do any of you makeup artist use your MAC PRO CARD?
i pretty much have everything since ive been acquiring mine for awhile now

i love the new metallic line

it all depends on what you do most

i mostly do stage make up so it works for me

the one STAPLE that i love love love

is the foundation primer :)
Here's what I own as a MAC freelancer

I do my own jobs outside of MAC and use other products but..going just for MAC there is important things i believe everyone should have

here's a lil tip as well 100's usually face and body 200's eyes 300's lips so when you go into Mac and look at brushes you can tell by the number set what goes where

when I do 90% of my makeup I own over 40 diffrent brushes but I use these over and over on clients.. so here is the ess list

Brushes-

190- face and body great for concealer..

116- for setting powder..blush..once again a great face brush

223(my FAV brush)crease brush great for defining a nice curve and line

224(blending brush) after doing the crease this brush helps blend it into the other color of your choice

239 picks up color because of the less poofed hairs

275 has an slant angle also great for picking up color

217 also a blending brush but i use this to do nude looks a lot

266 eye liner brush good for adding eyeshadow where liquid liner skipped (love it)

311-318 are for lips I have both and with lip brushes you have to remove the lipstick from them using oil based removers

eyeshadows..

your choice i own a bunch I see a lot of woman go for matte finishes cause they say it takes off age.. as for girls loving the sparkle and dazzle... so getting eyeshadows in all colors and textures in your choice is what i would do.. build up a collection if you really wanna do makeup artist work

eyeliner

Black and brown

Liquid and fluid line

(you can use pigment as liner as well using a little bit of a mixing medium) so that works out great

Concealer

it is important to have colors for every skin type and age group... this will be the hardest so I suggest what i do is get 4 shades from lighter light medium dark... and mix the amounts together to get the exact skin tone... but if the person wants to buy a bottle (for a wedding.. etc) then they would have to be matched

concealer sticks are good for weddings cause they don't reflect the light so having them for wedding photos and wedding day is great

powders

like concealer you will need diffrent colors for diffrent skin tones..but you need this to set your makeup

mascara

water proof and non waterproof in black and brown

trainer case, sharpner, brush cleaner (those are a good thing to get)

face cleansers,removers etc..

wipes (are good for mess ups.. cant tell you how many people sneeze and i need to grab one)

skincare... is tricky as well your gonna need a little of something for everyone since we all have diffrent skin

for moisture

for oily

for combination

for dry

so getting atleast 1 product for each type is def a life saver it will make the make up look better when set

last but not least

Pencils (get a bit of colors for better selection for clients)

lips

once again like eyeshdow get a little bit of every color glosses..same thing

there is diffrent kinds but whats good with the mac pro card is you can build and just get what you can when you can

over 2 years i have built up 5 large trainer cases 2 just for wedding make overs

I hope this helps I have been an artist for 5 years .. mac freelancer for 1 year and its just collecting for your buisness.. you will attract more bee's with honey.. but the ess are based on what i started out with..everyone is diffrent so use your card and start filling up your trainer cases!

good luck
