MAC makeup pro?????????????????

Hi I have a question.. a lot of people were talking about being a MAC (makeup) pro.. what does that mean? and how do I become a MAC pro? and what advantages do you get when you are MAC pro?

MAC Pro is MAC's make-up line targeted towards professional make-up artists. Their products include airbrushes, make-up tools, equipments, and colors that do not only apply to the eye, but all over the face. There are a lot of products that are under the MAC Pro line than the standard MAC line, and MAC Pro still carries whatever the standard MAC line carries.





How do you become a MAC Pro Member? In general, you have to be employed in the music/arts business, an ARTIST, in general. You can be a dancer, singer, performer, painter, ballerina, etc. Anything that you can relate to music/arts, but you'd need to present proof that this is really what you do and you'd have to present a lot of documents to them. They do background checks to see if you are presenting authentic proof to them. If you are a make-up artist, they would need to see your portfolio, cross check your background and professional references, etc. They do an extensive research of the applicant's background before they grant the membership. A lot of people have tried to falsify the documents, but have not succeeded.





Why do they do this? This is b/c when you are a MAC Pro member, you can get 30% (artists in general) to 40% (make-up artists specifically) discount out of all the products they carry, except for collections and Viva Glam products. It's b/c they support fellow artists in their craft. That's why a lot of people want to be considered for this coveted MAC Pro membership.





However, you don't have to be a MAC Pro member to purchase MAC Pro products. You can still purchase it but you have to buy it as it is regularly priced. The webiste www.macpro.com is a website that only MAC Pro members can access to order their products, but if you fancy something that is a Pro color that you want to purchase, you would have to call them to order it over the phone, or if there is a MAC Pro store near you, you can check it out over there. A MAC Pro store is different from a freestanding MAC store and the MAC counter inside department stores. There is only a handful of MAC Pro stores in the US, and most of them could be found in highly populated and fashion conscious areas, like cities in NY, CA, FL, etc.MAC makeup pro?????????????????
